What a blessing this book has been to me. I love how the author wove her love for gardening with spiritual ties. As painful as the story is, there is such redemption and healing. I found myself excited for each chapter as I watched her story unfold and then the good news in His redemptive love. This book is a must read for everyone whether you have had a traumatic experience of abuse or know anyone that has. Cyndi’s obedience and trust in the Lord is a perfect example of living out your faith. ~Mychele

WOW! Thank you, Cyndi Scott, for following the Lord’s leading to share your testimony. Secrets of the Soil is a great book! It was a quick read but thought provoking and intense for me. Love the analogies of gardening, which is also one of my passions, my place of rest even with the dirt under my fingernails. ….to “give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning…” Isaiah 61:3 ~Melissa

When reading Secrets of the Soil, there were several things that jumped out at me. But it wasn’t until the last section of the book that set my soul ablaze. When you said you had to stop acting in the “victim mentality” THAT WAS IT! I had never been a victim before but slowly and unknowingly believed the lie the enemy sold me and somehow adopted it as my own. But reading your words broke something off me. I am NOT A VICTIM! I am a daughter of the King! Thank you for being faithful to the call on your life! ~Angie
The book is beautifully written. I am receiving healing in areas that I didn’t know were there. ~Grace
